Are you still searching for aliens in space? Think again!

For generations, we’ve imagined aliens arriving from above. We imagine them swooping down from distant planets or hidden star systems in sleek crafts of otherworldly design. Science fiction has fed our fascination with what lies beyond our atmosphere. But what if the real mystery, the true presence of the unknown, lies deep below us? In the black abyss of Earth’s oceans?
The ocean covers more than 70% of our planet. Still, more than 80% of it has not been explored. More of Mars has actually been mapped than the ocean floor here on Earth. Hold on a second. If this is the case, there may be a chance that an alien or other civilization is concealed in plain sight and is waiting for us to find them.
Several researchers and theorists have suggested the idea of USOs or Unidentified Submerged Objects. Unlike UFOs that appear in the sky, USOs are mysterious, fast-moving objects observed traveling beneath water. Some military sonar operators have reported enormous underwater crafts that defy known technology. According to these sources, they were moving at speeds no submarine or aquatic life form could survive. Some have claimed these objects rise from the sea before taking off into the sky, while others vanish into underwater trenches and never return.
For example, in 2009, the Russian Navy declassified several reports of unexplained underwater phenomena. Submariners from the Soviet era reported coming across swift underwater objects that appeared to exhibit intelligence by evading sonar, changing course, and occasionally following their movements. Since many sightings took place in regions of high geomagnetic activity, there is conjecture that these areas might serve as natural gateways. At the very least, whatever or whoever is down there would find these locations interesting.
Another often-cited incident occurred near Puerto Rico. When an airborne reconnaissance mission captured radar footage of an object that appeared to enter the ocean, continue moving at high speeds underwater, and then exit the water without slowing down or leaving visible disturbance. To date, there’s no conventional explanation.
Let’s also consider the reports of deep-sea “structures.” These unusual sonar readings suggest massive symmetrical shapes resting on the seabed. In the Baltic Sea, for instance, a mysterious object resembling a crashed spacecraft was discovered by divers in 2011. Though skeptics called it a rock formation, its strange grooves and unnatural layout fueled speculation about its origins.
Then there are the sounds. NOAA (the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration) has recorded underwater audio phenomena, such as “The Bloop.” This was so loud and vast that it defies natural classification.
So, is our ocean hiding aliens? We may never know for sure. But considering how little we truly understand about our planet’s watery depths, the question needs an answer. And that’s what makes the concept so cool. We might not only be sharing this planet, but we might also be sharing it with creatures living next to us the entire time, keeping watch from the depths.
If this possibility sends shivers down your spine and you want to immerse yourself in a story that explores this very question, They Came for Love is your next must-read. It’s a Southern thriller that takes the mystery of the sea and adds just enough supernatural intrigue to make you question what we’ve always taken for granted. From unexplained sonar readings to many other mysteries and so much more, this book will shed new light on this subject.
